The need to help children is truly global. Some estimates have the number of children orphaned by AIDS in South Africa at 2.5 million by 2010. But children in need are not only found in other countries but here in the United States as well. Abused, neglected, hungry, abondoned or orphaned, there are so many issues facing the precious little ones of our world. There are a great deal of children who will not grow up to be adults without your prayers, financial support and time. We know this to be true and we know that God brought us together to help.

Members of the board attended presentations by organizations who minister to children and decided that we would not need to reinvent the wheel. There are many wonderful ministries doing great things in our country as well as around the world today. Perhaps the call of our organization was to support these established ministries who are already on the front lines.

And so Partners in Hope was born.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."
    - 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (NIV)
